There was nothing glamorous or special about Simon Mavros' upbringing. Born to a father who ran away the moment he found out Simon was born and to an alcoholic mother, who invited more men into her bed than spending time with her own children, one could say his childhood wasn't ideal. For eleven years, Simon grew up in a broken home in Las Vegas, Nevada. Where most people go to have the time of their lives, the only thing Simon wanted, was out. From an early age, music always seemed to appeal to him. It was something that helped him escape from the less fortunate world he was in. It made him feel strong, it let him become a dreamer. He and his sister would sit on the roof almost every night and listen to his cassette player, while their mom was out at the casinos. They would watch the twinkling lights from the Strip, and that's when he knew he wanted to make music. Sitting back, listening to Garth Brooks, James Taylor, and other influences, it made him want to strive for more.
When Simon was eleven and his sister seven, they were taken out of their mother's home after she was arrested for a DUI and failed to show up in court. Being placed together in a foster home, normally, older children aren't ones who get adopted. But for some divine grace, Simon and his sister were adopted, almost immediately, it seemed, by two wonderful people. Lyle and Beth Mavros were never able to have children of their own. Although they could have adopted a baby, being the strong Christians they were from Tennessee, they said God led them in another direction. And that direction was Simon and his sister, Hannah. Without opposition, Simon and his sister were taken from Las Vegas and moved to Nashville, TN. Their life completely changed within an instant. They were now living a normal, stable, and healthy life. Although Simon missed the nights on the roof, listening to music, he found an even better way to listen to music when his adoptive dad would play songs from his guitar. Over time, Simon began to show interest in learning the guitar and for Christmas on his thirteenth birthed,y, he was gifted with one. Together, he and his dad would play music and he would learn day by day how to become a great guitar player. By the time Simon was in his older teenage years, he knew exactly what his path in life was. Living in Nashville, it was easy to be a struggling musician, and that's exactly what he became. When he turned 18, he decided to make it his career to do whatever he could to write and make music.
Fortunately and unfortunately, Simon became widely known in the Nashville music scene for songwriting. For most of his adult life after turning 21, he became one of the most sought out writers in the city. He wrote songs for Kenny Chesney, Keith Urban and Billy Currington. While he truly enjoyed writing and the money that came along with it, deep down in his heart, Simon was a musician. All he wanted was to play music. His own music. He wanted to reach out to the masses of country music and have them enjoy what he created on his own. Standing in the shadows of other people just never cut it for Simon. He was born to be a star, and that's exactly what he set out to do, Although songwriting paid the bills, he had to start writing for himself.
In 2012, Simon began the two year creation of his solo career. He worked hard trying to get signed and creating his album. Finally in 2014, after being signed to a record label and putting the finishing touches on his songs, he created his first album "Montevallo". With the help of a few famous friends, Simon started to become a bit more famous than just within the Nashville limits. His Singles, 'Leave the Night On' and 'Take Your Time' began to play on Country Radio all over the US. And of course 'Cop Car', which was recorded with Keith Urban, instantly making it a hit.
Simon's life, thus far, seems as if he'd gotten lucky breaks everywhere he turned. He owes all of his success to his adoptive parents, because without them, he would've never ended up where he is today. He still would've been stuck where he came from, unsure of what he would be doing. Simon, although not so new to the music scene, is enjoying his newly found fame. Nothing is going to stop him now from being in the center of it all because the shadows is not where he belongs.

FACTS
ESFP → Born entertainers, ESFPs love the spotlight, but all the world's a stage.they love putting on a show for their friends too, chatting with a unique and earthy wit, soaking up attention and making every outing feel a bit like a party. Utterly social, ESFPs enjoy the simplest things, and there's no greater joy for them than just having fun with a good group of friends. It's not just talk either - ESFPs have the strongest aesthetic sense of any personality type. From grooming and outfits to a well-appointed home, ESFP personalities have an eye for fashion. Though it may not always seem like it, ESFPs know that it's not all about them - they are observant, and very sensitive to others' emotions. People with this personality type are often the first to help someone talk out a challenging problem, happily providing emotional support and practical advice. However, if the problem is about them, ESFPs are more likely to avoid a conflict altogether than to address it head-on. ESFPs usually love a little drama and passion, but not so much when they are the focus of the criticisms it can bring.
